about

Original release information from 2003:

AMAZING DEVICE has been tearing it up in NYC and is quickly establishing itself amongst the nationsbest up and coming acts. The nine songs contained on “The Quiet Room”, are a powerful blend of posthardcore, guitar driven grooves, and a melodious rock mixture with an undeniable sense of pop nfinesse. AMAZING DEVICE’s diversity allows them to deliver a flurry of uplifting and inspiring emocore styled melodies, complete with a captivating vocal performance and a modern gritty edge that provides a wealth of fiery energy. Accentuated with rich flowing acoustic passages and Failure reminiscent chord progressions, a full-bodied piece of work is on display that is extremely catchy and startlingly honest.

After several demos, AMAZING DEVICE have progressed with smooth song transitions and a beefed up aggressive undercurrent that make up for the bulk of the latest enhancements to their arsenal and though comparisons to the likes of Incubus are still justifiable, the band are already well upon their way to establishing a sound that is certainly all their own. Their material is affable and catchy; yet humble enough to avoid the commercial radio rock stereotype, as their songs tend to offer far more substance.

AMAZING DEVICE has something for everyone, especially if you are into the following: Incubus, Faith No More, Glassjaw and Deftones.

This cover was an alternate to the officially released version. We actually liked it better than the original, looking back now, so we present it to you for this digital edition.
