In 2004, SELF PORTRAIT was an upstart North Carolina band making the rounds with aspirations of making some serious waves in the alternative rock community. Somewhere along the line the band, which featured members of BLOODJINN and a now current member of COLOSSUS, imploded and nothing became of the original sessions recorded at The Basement Studios. These recordings which were released in limited format to those close to the band, but never officially, are now finally available to all. Jamie King has remixed the original 4 tracks and we have also included the original mixes (which would basically be considered SELF PORTRAIT’s demo). These are songs we have long cherished and decided it was time for them to be released so that the original SELF PORTRAIT fans can enjoy the music and memories they shared together. These songs are as relevant now as they ever were with bands like Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday still topping the charts.
